Sarah Covey

PIONEER Owner, Instructor

Sarah has a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, MA in Positive Coaching, and is ACSM Certified in Group Fitness, Personal Training, Yoga 200-RYT, Yoga Alliance.

Sarah’s competitive background involves collegiate athletics, Circus Institute of Acrobatics and NPC Fitness & Figure competitions. She has coached Varsity volleyball for 13 years and performed as a personal trainer and fitness instructor for 17. Sarah’s passion is sharing opportunities to thrive in both mind & body athletic pursuits.

Chris Covey

PIONEER Owner, Instructor

Chris is a Personal Trainer, IAFF Firefighter, ACE Peer Fitness Trainer-Cooper Institute Peer Fitness Trainer, AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, ASFA Certified Personal Trainer.

Competitive tri -sport athlete in high school, and now multi-sports competitor, Chris has pursued athletic adventures all his life. He became heavily involved with weight-lifting at a young age and an avid strength conditioning and nutritional coach throughout his firefighting career.


Sixteen years with the City of Rolla's Fire Department, Chris has been a dedicated member of the HAZMAT Team, Dive & Swift-Water Rescue Teams, and serving as a Peer Trainer for the department's Wellness Program.


Secondary to his Firefighting career, Chris works with Greenleaf Construction and Lewis Renovation as a construction worker.


Aside from from building the foundational blocks of PIONEER, Chris will be an instructor for classes in the PIONEER studio and offering his services as a certified personal trainer.

Business Hours

Check Class Schedule to see when we are open. The lobby will be open 15 minutes prior to the start of a class, and shut down fifteen minutes after a class. Please be mindful of exceeding these boundaries.
